The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Syndey Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 25,000 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 9 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

I am having my website updated and within this newly updated site will be an integrated blog. I will be transferring many of my favorites blog posts to the site but will no longer be continuing to blog from this particular site. The new IntoDesign site is almost finished and I will definitely make an effort to inform all my readers about the move and the url in which you will be able to read the posts. I will leave this site up for awhile for everyone to catch up, but within two months, this will no longer be available for you, my website will.
New things are to come and I am very excited about them, as I hope all of you are. Just wait til you see it!
Check out Transformed Designs for your graphics, web design and marketing! They are one of the best companies that I have ever worked with! Thanks Elias for all your and Danielle’s hard work!

I was on one of my phone conversations with my mother the other day, and she had mentioned that she had gone onto my blog page and read a few of my blogs posts. She had this great idea to blog about and make it a part of my ‘regulars’. She knows how much I love architectural history and how much I am always talking about furniture and architectural elements from certain eras. So, the idea… each week talk about one new design era and discuss the trends and share pictures for all my readers. What a GREAT idea! Why hadn’t I thought of that? Thanks mom!
I would love to talk about Egyptian architecture, Victorian, the Modernism movement, Art Nouveau, and all the in betweens! I find something fascinating in each and every Design Era.
Now, my dilemma: What should I call this new blog post? I will ponder on the idea. I would like all of you to do the same! What should I title the blog posting for architectural history? Please write in my comment section on what you think.
Thanks, as always.

There is not just one ‘French Grey’, in fact there are many levels to this fantastic color (a color that I have chosen for my master bedroom). The variations of this color comes in the form of percentages (%). For example French Grey 90%, which happens to be a very dark version of the color, or French Grey 20%, a light version.
French Grey is different from Cool Grey. French Grey has a warmer undertone than that of Cool Grey. Just think of yellow versus a blue. Yellow is a warmer color than blue, so the same goes for French Grey and Cool Grey.

This weekend was a Spring cleaning…but in the Winter. I had cleaned out my closet and my boyfriends closet as well. We organized our books and dvd’s. Organized our office and even went into the garage. The only thing that I was not able to get to was vacuuming.
As I was organizing and cleaning out some old clothes, I was thinking about some great organizational tactics and solutions for all the clutter. Here is a list!
-Versatile Ottomans- ottoman/file box.
-Coffee Tables that can open for blanket storage.
-Multi-Layered console table. Stack you favorite books and even hide the unsightly objects into cute woven baskets.
-Don’t just use your sideboard to store dishes and stem ware.. store a few picture boxes and family home movies.
-Use curtains to hide clutter. Create a curtain skirt along the bottom of your pedestal sink or even around a desk or side table.
-Keep a charging station in a drawer of your console table as you walk in the front door or which ever door you use the most.
-Nesting tables, they are great to store small items on each layer.
-Side table pockets can be used to store those remotes that always go missing in the sofa cushions.
